President Trump drew attention to a terror attack in France yesterday, using it as an example of why Democrat leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi should fund a border wall.
French terror attack in Strasbourg
Yesterday, a gunman shot and killed two people, leaving another half-dozen injured, in a Christmas market in the French city of Strasbourg. Witnesses claim that the gunman, who is still on the loose, shouted “Allah Akbar” while committing his heinous crimes. From the Guardian:
A gunman being hunted by police after killing three people and injuring 13 others upon opening fire on Strasbourg’s Christmas market is a hardened criminal who was on France’s national security list as a potential terror threat, French authorities have said.
Witnesses said the man shouted “Allah Akbar” as he shot into the crowds and slashed at passersby with a knife.
Two victims died at the scene and a third was said to have been left “brain dead”. Six people were critically injured.
President Trump cited this attack as yet another reason why it’s in America’s best interest to secure the southern border.
Another very bad terror attack in France. We are going to strengthen our borders even more. Chuck and Nancy must give us the votes to get additional Border Security!

Possible danger in migrant caravan
Currently, a caravan of migrants is attempting to enter our country through openings at our southern border. Foreigners from other continents make up the migrants. (RELATED: Univsion Confirms Bangladesh Migrants Part of Illegal Caravan.)
Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer don’t see the wall as a necessity and pushed back against Trump’s demand for funding during a heated conversation in the Oval Office. (RELATED: Trump Confirms: He’s ‘Proud to Shut Down the Government for Border Security’.)

Many of the illegal migrants attempting to enter the U.S. are actually getting in because they’re finding gaps and weaknesses in our border.
The bottom line on the wall, immigration, and terrorism
The truth of the matter is that any country that doesn’t have its border secure is betraying the trust of its citizens. A government that doesn’t take its border security seriously surely isn’t going to take threats from terrorists seriously. They’re part-and-parcel.
In response to the French shooting, government ministers have pledged to increase their border security internally. President Trump is right to look at what’s happening overseas, and what’s happening right now at our southern border, and be concerned.

Democrats and Republicans who continue to dither on Trump’s border wall are putting our safety at risk. For shame!
