Despite repeated attempts by Democrats and Barack Obama to take credit for the current economic upswing in America, leading economists agree the main man behind it is President Trump.
Obama spent eight years pretending he wasn’t responsible for any aspect of the economy. Now he wants credit after he’s finally left the White House.
“As we took these actions, we saw the US economy grow consistently,” Obama claimed. “We saw the longest streak of job creation in American history by far. A streak that still continues, by the way.”
“Thanks, Obama,” he added.
The media will be more than obedient in pushing that storyline and thanking Obama.

40 percent say Trump is more responsible. https://t.co/lZY2bYCv7n

Real economists, however, aren’t buying into it. Either the media spin…
Note the mainstream media will attempt to belittle Trump’s role in the surging economy by pointing out more people credited Obama…but but but

… or the reality behind the numbers.
The Wall Street Journal surveyed 68 economists and asked them who deserves credit for the current uptick in the economy. We’re talking real economists, not like that Obama sycophant at the New York Times, Paul Krugman.
Guess who they praised?
Most “suggested Mr. Trump’s election deserves at least some credit.”
“Happily for President Trump, the pros agree with him,” The Hill wrote. “A recent survey of economists suggest it is President Trump, and not Obama, who should be taking a bow.”

Analysis indicates that two major factors are responsible for the economy churning along at this rate – decreased regulation and the GOP tax bill.
The report also indicates that a vastly underrated aspect of the economy is helping – business confidence.
“Why would Trump rate higher than Obama with this group?” the Hill asks. “Economists point to the upturn in business confidence that accompanied Trump’s election, and tie that to increasing business investment.”
Carlos Ghosn, chairman of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, concurs that President Trump deserves much of the credit.

“You need to give this president the merit of being the main person responsible for the economy,” he said.
Now if only the media would accept the same reality.
