As we all know, there are hundreds of “Sanctuary Cities” nationwide, which are cities that shelter illegal immigrants, refusing to prosecute them for only being “undocumented.” It’s completely insane, as it violates federal law (though Barack Obama hasn’t seemed to care), and I can’t say I understand the logic of it. They’re fine with crime, so long as the crime is illegal immigration? The cost of illegal immigrants to taxpayers is over $100 billion annually. To put that in perspective, the value of all stolen motor vehicles in 2014 was under $5 billion.
Clearly illegal immigration is illegal for a reason, and that’s why The Donald is vowing to finally take action on it. And would you believe there are liberals who are going to try to prevent that? Of course they are…
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio told the press on Thursday that he may have to destroy records kept by the city which contain limited personal information on nearly 500,000 illegal immigrants residing within the city.
The 2015 IDNYC program, aimed at documenting illegal residents, provides illegal aliens with a means to maneuver within the city and function as a typical American citizen as part of a vast scheme concocted by billionaire tycoon and Black Lives Matter promoter George Soros, which ultimately makes NYC a ‘sanctuary city.’
“We’re not going to tear families apart. So we will do everything we know how to do to resist that,” de Blasio said, promoting illegal immigration.
IDNYC cardholders personal information is stored in encrypted databases on secure servers and may be of interest to the Trump Administration, de Blasio fears.
The mayor plans to block the Trump Administration from subpoenaing the databases in question, if that issue were ever to arise at a future time.
There are a number of tools at Trump’s disposal he can leverage to fight against this. He could push to restrict federal funding of states and cities that are openly acting in defiance of federal law, especially when the cost of such defiance is being spread across the nation’s taxpayers.
What the heck is NYC gaining from illegal immigrants anyway? DeBlasio is playing politics for no reason other than to spite Trump – and he wants to make the rest of us pay for it.
