More Christian Refugees Than Muslims Are Arriving in America Under Trump

More Christian then Muslim refugees are being admitted into the country under President Trump according to data provided by the U.S. State Department.

It is a long overdue course correction considering Christians are the most persecuted religion in the world, especially in war torn regions of the Middle East.

And it isn’t exactly like Trump is barring Muslims from the country either, despite what the media would have you believe.

The latest data shows 50% of refugees entering the country since inauguration day are Christians while 38% are Muslims.

More Christian than Muslim refugees have been admitted to the United States in the first months of the Trump administration, reversing a trend that had seen Muslims outnumber Christians in the final fiscal year under President Barack Obama, a Pew Research Center analysis of U.S. State Department refugee data has found.

From Donald Trump’s first full day in office on Jan. 21 through June 30, 9,598 Christian refugees arrived in the U.S., compared with 7,250 Muslim refugees. Christians made up 50% of all refugee arrivals in this period, compared with 38% who are Muslim. Some 11% of these arrivals belong to other religions, while about 1% claim no religious affiliation.

This amounts to another promise kept by President Trump, who, within days of assuming office, ordered his administration to prioritize refugee applications from Christian minorities in Muslim countries.

Analysis during the last year of his Presidency shows that Barack Obama was grossly exaggerating the influx of Muslim refugees, while practically barring Christians altogether.

In May of 2016, the United States saw 1,037 Syrian refugees admitted, of which 1,035 were Muslims. Two – only TWO – were Christians.

During the first five months of the previous year, Obama had allowed Muslim refugees from Syria in at a clip of 97.3%. Christians had accounted for 0.28%.

Trump argued that previous administrations made it nearly impossible for Syrian Christian refugees to enter the country.

“If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible,” he said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network. “I thought it was very, very unfair. So we are going to help them.”

The results are clear – Trump is finally coming to the aide of Christian refugees who are being terrorized across the world.
