Trump Celebrates As FEC Fines Hillary Campaign, DNC Over Payments For Steele Dossier

Donald Trump celebrated the news that the Federal Election Commission (FEC) fined Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the Democratic National Committee thousands of dollars over undisclosed payments for the infamous “Steele dossier.”

The dossier was the catalyst that helped launch the Russiagate hoax.

The DNC was ordered to pay $105,000 by the Federal Election Commission while Clinton’s campaign was fined $8,000, according to the Washington Examiner, for failing to properly disclose spending on the controversial dossier.

The Examiner reports that the DNC and Hillary’s campaign misled on the reasoning behind financing the dossier, “claiming it was for legal services, not opposition research.”

Neither the campaign nor the party concede to any wrongdoing but have agreed to pay the fines as a means to settle the situation.

Trump Celebrates FEC Fine For Hillary, DNC

Former President Trump celebrated the FEC fines of Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC issuing a statement on Wednesday with his now-expected aplomb.

“Wow! Just out that the 2016 Clinton Campaign and the DNC paid the FEC today for violating the law … to try and take down and illegally destroy your favorite President, me,” he said.

“This was done to create, as I have stated many times, and is now confirmed, a Hoax funded by the DNC and the Clinton Campaign,” added Trump. “This corruption is only beginning to be revealed, is un-American, and must never be allowed to happen again.”

“Where do I go to get my reputation back?”

Dan Backer, a conservative lawyer behind the complaint leading to the FEC fines, says he is “thrilled to have caused some modicum of accountability” for Hillary Clinton and the DNC.

But, he’d like to see more.

“Hillary Clinton and her cronies willfully engaged in the greatest political fraud in history — destroying our nation’s faith in the electoral process, and it’s high time they were held accountable,” he told the Examiner.

“I hope this is only the beginning.”

Trump Sues Hillary, DNC

In a just world, this would only be the beginning. It may yet lead to a stronger case for President Trump’s lawsuit against Hillary’s campaign and the DNC.

Trump last week filed a massive lawsuit – “exceeding $100 million” – against Clinton and numerous high-profile public figures over an “unthinkable plot” to create a Russia collusion narrative during the 2016 presidential campaign.

“In the run-up to the 2016 Presidential Election, Hillary Clinton and her cohorts orchestrated an unthinkable plot – one that shocks the conscience and is an affront to this nation’s democracy,” the court filing reads.

Clinton and the others are accused in the lawsuit of having “maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that … Trump was colluding with a hostile foreign sovereignty.”

It goes on to suggest the Russia collusion plot was “so outrageous, subversive and incendiary that even the events of Watergate pale in comparison.”

The Steele dossier and its salacious allegations against Trump have only recently been labeled by some outlets as an “epic fail” by the media and led to the Washington Post quietly editing past reports on it after a pair of key players in the dossier’s ‘research’ had been arrested.

Igor Danchenko, arrested as part of the John Durham investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, has been described by the New York Times as “the primary researcher of the so-called Steele dossier.”

Former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman was also indicted.

A motion filed by Durham last month reveals he intends to prove that Sussman paid a tech executive to infiltrate computers at Trump Tower, Trump’s Central Park West apartment, and at the Executive Office of the President.

“Tech Executive-1 tasked these researchers to mine Internet data to establish ‘an inference’ and ‘narrative’ tying then-candidate Trump to Russia,” Durham states.

“In doing so, Tech Executive-1 indicated that he was seeking to please certain ‘VIPs,’ referring to individuals at Law Firm-1 and the Clinton campaign.”

The latest complaint against the Hillary campaign and the DNC alleged further violations, but the FEC dismissed those. The DNC scoffed at the fines and dismissed them as merely settling “aging and silly complaints.”
