On Friday, former President Donald Trump blasted ‘con man’ Jussie Smollett for the hate hoax in which he tried to claim he was attacked by racist Trump supporters.
Trump also warned that Smollett might not have been caught if he had not “pressed it too far.”
Trump made his comments during an interview with Fox News Channel’s Laura Ingraham on her program “The Ingraham Angle.”
Trump told Ingraham that Smollett was a “con man” who carried out his hate crime hoax to try to get his television contract renewed.
“This was an absolute con job,” Trump told Ingraham.
“He was the con man, and he wanted to try and get sympathy so he could have his contract renewed for his ridiculous television series,” Trump said. “So that didn’t work out too well.”
Trump then noted that he thinks if Smollett would not have tried so hard, he might not have got caught.
“And then, on top of it, he got caught,” Trump added. “And you know it’s interesting. He wouldn’t have been caught except that he pressed it all the way. He pressed it too far.”
Indeed, the liberal media portrayed Smollett’s obviously fake story as not just real, but as dark proof of how racist America and Trump supporters are.
The obviously fake hate hoax was also promoted by top Democrats.
Unfortunately for them, he got caught.

Trump called Smollett’s stunt a “hate crime in reverse.”
“He wanted apologies and everything else,” Trump continued. “And then the police came, and they did an amazing job. And they caught him cold, and he deserves it.”
“But this is a hate crime,” the former president explained. “This is really a hate crime, sort of a hate crime in reverse.”
“And he’s not going to get away with it,” Trump insisted.
