A border-security compromise bill is being floated in Congress that would include $1.375 billion for physical barriers at the U.S.-Mexico border, which President Trump doesn’t seem to think is enough.
“I can’t say I’m happy,” Trump said to reporters Tuesday. “I can’t say I’m thrilled.”
Trump is seeking over $5 billion to fund a border wall, something Democrats continue to oppose. The President is meeting with lawmakers to discuss the compromise plan to avoid another government shutdown scheduled for 11:59 PM Friday if an agreement can’t be reached.

Border Security Compromise “Garbage”
Fox News’ Sean Hannity has already blasted the compromise.
“Late Monday, reports surfaced that congressional Democrats and Republicans had reached an ‘agreement in principle’ on funding for President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall,” The Political Insider reported Tuesday. The deal not only included the reduced $1.375 billion for border barriers, but “a 17 percent drop in the number of ICE beds, a newfound request of Democrats seeking to control how the agency conducts the business of enforcing the law within our country.”
“1.3 billion? That’s not a — not even a wall, a barrier?” Hannity said Monday night.
“I’m going to tell this tonight and we will get back into this tomorrow,” Hannity continued. “Any Republican that supports this garbage compromise, you will have to explain.”

“Look at this crowd. Look at the country,” Hannity went on. “Look at CBS News, even they say 72 percent of the American people want the heroin to stop, the cartels to stop, the gang members to stop, and those that wish us ill.”
The President did not say whether or not he would support the compromise bill.
White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday night that the administration would secure the border, even if it meant declaring a national emergency.
If no deal is reached and the government shuts down again this weekend, it will follow the longest shutdown in history – 35 days – which ended three weeks ago.
