Trey Gowdy Slams CBS Host About Obama Wiretapping President Trump

On CBS’ Face the Nation, John Dickerson tried to catch conservative hero Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) off-guard about President Donald Trump’s allegations that Barack Obama wiretapped his campaign in 2016. But Trey Gowdy was ready for the media bias, and shut Dickerson down quickly!

Dickerson wanted to discuss Rep. Devin Nunes briefing of the President about evidence of wiretapping, and Gowdy noted that Nunes wasn’t doing anything wrong. Instead, Nunes was simply briefing Trump on a matter unrelated to the Russia-FBI investigation.

Then, Gowdy threw down the hammer:

“Well, then, let me repeat what I said. That the chairman of House Intel briefed the Commander-in-Chief that has nothing to do with the Russian investigation. So if the Commander-in-Chief cannot be briefed by the chairperson of the House Intel Committee on a matter that has nothing to do with the FBI investigation, then I don’t know what they can talk about, John. He’s the Commander-in-Chief.”

You have to watch Gowdy expose the truth here. Gowdy doesn’t put up with any nonsense!

There is no question that the Obama administration illegally wiretapped people in cases that didn’t involve terrorism, like Fox News reporter James Rosen. The Obama administration, or at least rogue bureaucrats, clearly used the intelligence community against Trump, and insiders are still doing so to this day with shameful rumors about Russian conspiracy theories.

Gowdy is privy to classified material on this subject and is ready to defend President Trump against this shameful smear attack.
