To celebrate Melania, here are just a few highlights from her short time as First Lady of the United States.
President and Mrs. Trump went to Melbourne, Florida in February for a big rally with supporters.
First Lady Melania introduced her husband and opened the rally by leading the crowd in the Lord’s Prayer. Wow – I can’t even imagine Michelle Obama doing that!
AOL further reports:
Before introducing her husband, the first lady described the country she and the president envision as “one that works for all Americans … and where all Americans can work and succeed.”
“A nation committed to a great civility and unity between people from all sides of the political divide,” she said.
The first lady then made a passing reference to recent attacks aimed on her, saying she will “always be truthful” with the American people “no matter what the opposition is saying about me.”
President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the 139th annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House. The event was the first time the Trumps have hosted the annual tradition, and unlike past years, this one was all class.
The event hosts approximately 20,000 individuals, with children of America’s military and local D.C. area children flocking to the White House to participate in the family-friendly event.
First Lady Melania Trump’s first time hosting the event was full of grace and class, with Mrs. Trump detailing the long history of the Easter egg roll, as well as taking the time to thank our troops for their service.
During her speech, Melania thanked “all of the military with us today and all military in this great nation and servicemen and servicewomen all around the world who are keeping us safe. As we renew this tradition, thank you for joining us. On behalf of the president and Barron, we wish you great fun and beautiful day coming ahead of us. And Happy Easter!”
Army Sgt. Jose Medina is only 29 years old, and his life changed after he was selected to dance with new First Lady Melania Trump during the Salute to Our Armed Services Ball at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
Medina, who is from Puerto Rico, was honored to be part of the historic night and explained in interviews that Melania was classy and gracious the entire time.
The sergeant noted that she seemed nervous, and congratulated him on his selection. She was genuinely interested in getting to know him and wanted to talk to him.
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are working to make serious cuts to the Office of the First Lady, which would help Trump keep his promise to save taxpayers money.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama, with her “Let’s Move” campaign, lunch mandates, and expensive vacations around the world required a staff of twenty employees. That’s quite a staff for an unelected position.
Now, three insider sources say that cuts are already happening:
So far, the first lady has only hired two people to be on her staff – Chief of Staff Lindsay Reynolds, an alumna of the George W. Bush administration and White House Social Secretary Anna Cristina Niceta Lloyd, an events planner who has worked on the last five inaugurals and for both Democratic and Republican secretaries of state.
Beyond that, the first lady’s East Wing staff generally includes communications aides – like a press secretary – schedulers, speech writers, policy people and those tasked with answering the influx of correspondence from the American people to the FLOTUS.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, some of the nastiest smears were directed at First Lady Melania Trump. A successful model and businesswoman who speaks multiple languages, people made disgusting allegations against her.
Now, after a drawn-out legal battle, Melania Trump just scored a massive victory! The Daily Mail printed an apology and will pay almost $3 million for false accusations they made about her.
This is amazing news:
The Daily Mail has agreed to pay first lady Melania Trump damages after it published a story alleging the former model had been an escort in the 1990s.
The news outlet will pay Trump about $2.9 million in damages and costs, CNN reported Wednesday.
“We accept that these allegations about Mrs. Trump are not true and we retract and withdraw them. We apologize to Mrs. Trump for any distress that our publication caused her,” the Daily Mail and Mail Online said in a statement.
The Daily Mail printed their official apology and retraction here.
During a luncheon at the White House, First Lady Melania Trump spoke to honor International Women’s Day. But Melania made it clear she doesn’t support the #DayWithoutAWoman protest, which insisted all women wear red to show support for their radical cause.
Liberals on Twitter were immediately furious that she wasn’t wearing red.
The truth is, the #DayWithoutAWoman was a protest for privileged liberal elites who can afford to take a day off from work to promote left-wing causes. While Michelle Obama would have certainly worn red, Melania Trump has class.
She and her husband – President Donald Trump – Tweeted their support for the actual International Women’s Day, which started in 1909.
