GOP Senator Thom Tillis Collapses During Race, Rushed to Hospital

Senator Thom Tillis, a Republican from North Carolina, collapsed while running a race, and has been rushed to a local hospital by ambulance.

Reports indicate that CPR was performed on the congressman who had initially been unresponsive. Witnesses say he was breathing and revived by the time he was lifted into the ambulance.

Tillis was running in the American Council of Life Insurers’s Capital Challenge, a three-mile team race.

He posted a picture of his team on social media just hours ago …

Shortly thereafter, news of the medical incident began to hit Twitter.

A reporter for WUSA 9 indicated that “3 men saved the life of Senator Thom Tillis.”

Tillis’ colleagues expressed support for the congressman, calling for thoughts and prayers.

The good news is that those thought and prayers appear to be working.
