Nancy Pelosi’s nephew, California Governor Gavin Newsom may not tell people of faith that they can only worship in their homes.
The U.S. Justice Department told California to reopen churches, as the story appeared first on Politico. The letter was sent to Newsom expressing concerns about Constitutional issues that were being raised on when in-person services would resume.

AT SOME POINT AMERICANS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE A MOVE
At some point, people are just going to have to take their chances. I firmly believe, though, that Democrats are slow-walking reopening to keep the economy in the toilet so it impacts the election. Every state that people are fighting to reopen, has a Democratic Governor.
It’s a sad day when churches look to the federal government to exercise their God-given right to assemble for worship.
[Politico] The U. S. Department of Justice warned Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday that California must do more to accommodate in-person religious gatherings.
A letter from federal attorneys pointed to “civil rights concerns” around California’s stay-at-home order, which since March has prohibited the faithful from assembling at houses of worship. The Department of Justice noted that religious services are barred even as sectors of the economy deemed “essential” have been allowed to remain open.
“This facially discriminates against religious exercise,” the letter says. “California has not shown why interactions in offices and studios of the entertainment industry, and in-person operations to facilitate nonessential ecommerce, are included on the list as being allowed with social distancing where telework is not practical, while gatherings with social distancing for purposes of religious worship are forbidden, regardless of whether remote worship is practical or not.”
Newsom’s framework for incrementally reopening California’s economy would allow religious services to resume after forms of commerce like manufacturing, which the federal government called an example of “unequal treatment of faith communities.”

LET ME QUOTE A PROMINENT DEMOCRAT
As James Carville said years ago: “It’s the economy, stupid!” Of course, that’s what it about. Keeping people out of work, dependent on their government “masters” so the economy tanks and the vote goes against the sitting administration.
The Mayor (Ms. Clark) needs to reread the Constitution. In order to “promote the general welfare,” the Articles and Amendments to the Constitution are to be followed-always. The Preamble is not in tension with, or opposed to the rest of the text. The preamble is an apologia of the sorts-a reason for why we need to follow the rest of the text.
GOD WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY
This in-office politicians who keep trying to maintain the shutdown, do realize that elections are right around the corner, right? People take notice of those in office who keep up with anti-Trump agendas and make your vote count!
God will have the last say on Judgment Day none the less!!
