Terrorist Attack In London: Bucket Explodes On Underground Tube

Americans are waking up to news that a terror incident has occurred in London, something the city’s mayor has referred to in the past as being “part and parcel of living in a big city.”

An explosion took place on a crowded London Underground train early Friday morning, reportedly injuring up to 20 people at the time of this publishing.

Postings on social media showed the aftermath of what appears to be a white bucket inside a bag, with wires sticking out of it.

Piers Morgan, host of Good Morning Britain, shared one picture …

Morgan was correct, as authorities in London are now confirming the ‘incident’ is being ruled a terrorist attack.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu of the Metropolitan Police, the senior national coordinator for counterterrorism policing, has declared the event a terrorist incident.

Prime Minister Theresa May expressed her thoughts regarding news of the attack this morning.

President Trump also responded to the “loser” terrorist this morning, and may have hinted that the suspect was in the sight of authorities.

Trump reiterated his call for a travel ban into the United States in the wake of the bucket attack …

London Mayor Sadiq Khan also issued the usual proclamation after a terrorist attack, something that is becoming far too normalized in his city.

London has been besieged by terror attacks of late. The New York Times writes:

Britain has been hit by several deadly terrorist attacks this year: a vehicular and knife attack near Parliament in March, a suicide bombing at a rock concert in Manchester in May, and a van and knife attack around London Bridge and a van attack outside a London mosque, both in June.

Almost exactly one year ago, Khan happened to be in New York City when Ahmad Rahami left bombs in Midtown as well as Seaside Park, N.J.

He explained then that bomb threats and attacks on innocent civilians are “part and parcel of life in a big city.”

Morgan has previously blasted and ridiculed Khan for his inability or unwillingness to combat terror in his city more vociferously.

In an interview in June, Khan admitted that hundreds of terrorists had returned from war torn regions of the Middle East and were running around London.

When Khan couldn’t answer where these threats were currently, Morgan exclaimed, “You’re the mayor! You’re the mayor of London!”
