Every day you pray that there is a glimmer of hope in the youth of America… that we can see a better promise for the country’s future. With so many kids out there today that are disrespectful to the elderly, it’s tragic.
But not all is lost, as a few young people in Florida just proved to the whole nation!
Brandi Dussing, her sister, and friends noticed an elderly couple living inside their car in a Walmart parking log. Instead of taunting them, harassing them, or ignoring them, the group bonded together to get some food for the couple and their dog.
Now the couple didn’t immediately accept help, but after the young girls had won them over, they decided to accept the girls’ generosity!

When a group of girls noticed the elderly couple sleeping inside their car in a Walmart parking lot, they decided to help. Brandi Dussing, her sister, and some friends then offered to buy food for the family and the dogs. Mr. Head was hesitant at first since he didn’t want to take advantage of the girls’ kindness, but they insisted.
They bought the family food, but Brandi’s kindness didn’t stop there. She set up a YouCaring fundraiser page to help them get back on track. “The woman has such swollen feet from not being able to stretch out,” Brandi explained in her appeal. “The man has had heart surgery in the past and shouldn’t be living in a car, especially at his age.”
After the campaign had been shared on Facebook, $13,000 was raised from 350 strangers.
“Everything is hitting us at one time,” Gordon told the outlet, with both he and his wife claiming that they have never been through a struggle like this before.
Gordon expressed his gratitude in an emotional interview, explaining how much the girls have helped him and his wife.
“The other day I asked God to send us some angels,” he said while breaking down in tears. “And they started showing up.”
It’s a shame that a couple like this are in this type of fix probably after working all their life, and the poor man is still working construction at 75 years old! This didn’t used to happen in America. Nothing seems “right” about this situation, except for the young girls that helped them! Praise God for these good samaritans.
All angels are not in Heaven, some walk among us. I’m so proud of these girls. Thank you for showing me there are still good people in this selfish world. God bless those girls.
