Ted Cruz Calls Fauci ‘Most Dangerous Bureaucrat’ In American History

On Monday, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas called White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci the “most dangerous bureaucrat” in U.S. American history.

Cruz made his remarks during an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity.”

Cruz: ‘I don’t think anyone has hurt science, the credibility of the CDC and doctors more than Dr. Fauci’

Host Sean Hannity said to Cruz, “You laid out proof that [Fauci’s] lying. He knew about gain of function, he knew that the NIH contributed money to it, and he lied.”

Cruz replied with some pretty harsh words for Fauci.

“I think Dr. Fauci is the most dangerous bureaucrat in the history of the country,” Cruz said sternly.

“I don’t think anyone has hurt science, the credibility of the CDC and doctors more than Dr. Fauci,” Cruz added.

Cruz Compares Fauci’s Recent ‘I represent science’ Comment To Louis XIV

The senator continued, “Throughout this pandemic, he’s been dishonest, political, partisan, and the American people know it.”

“On the weekend, he did this long interview where he said, ‘I represent science, I am science.’ I was laughing. It was like Louis XIV, the Sun King in France, saying ‘I am the state,'” Cruz said. “It’s this delusion of grandeur that you cannot criticize him, and it was very striking.”

Fauci said recently, while slamming his critics in both Cruz and Sen. Rand Paul,

“Anybody who’s looking at this carefully realizes that there’s a distinct anti-science flavor to this, so if they get up and criticize science, nobody’s going to know what they’re talking about.

“But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci, well people can recognize that there’s a person there, so it’s easy to criticize, but they’re really criticizing science because I represent science.”

“The absolute hubris of someone claiming THEY represent science,” Paul tweeted.

“It’s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity,” he added.”
