A squirt gun just got one teacher from Dallas, Texas in hot water. Payal Modi, who teaches art in the Dallas Independent School District, made threatening gestures to a video of President Donald J. Trump in front of her class.
The 9-second video shows her screaming “Die” at the President, and shooting a fake gun. This is hardly appropriate behavior, and is likely a criminal act.
Now, she has been put on administrative leave, and a full investigation will be conducted. She is about to be fired:
Dallas ISD has placed Payal Modi, an art teacher at Adamson, on administrative leave Thursday afternoon.
A Dallas ISD teacher has been placed on administrative leave by the district for posting a video on social media that shows her shooting a water gun at an image of President Donald Trump and yelling “Die!” in a classroom.

DISD’s statement:
“Today, we were made aware of a social media posting being circulated involving a teacher at W. H. Adamson High School. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and the district has opened an investigation. This is a personnel matter and, as such, we cannot comment.”
The original Instagram video, posted by the teacher herself, had the caption, “Watching the #inauguration in my classroom like…. #no #stop #denial #squirtgun #hypocrisy #powerless.”
