The War On Terror rolls on and claims another casualty.
Let’s forget about the fact that Obama repeatedly said that all these wars will be ending while he’s in office, and focus on our brave men and women risking their lives and kicking butt in the name of America and freedom!
We’ve been in Afghanistan for almost 15 years, and will be there for a while longer. Good news is rare out of the country, but our brave soldiers can count today as a good day with the demise of this vicious Taliban leader:
more via BBC:
Afghanistan’s spy agency has confirmed that Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour has been killed, after the US targeted him in a drone strike.
The drone targeted his vehicle in a remote area of south-west Pakistan, near the Afghan border, on Saturday.
US Secretary of State John Kerry said Mansour had posed “a continuing, imminent threat to US personnel”.
Mansour assumed the leadership in July 2015, replacing Taliban founder and spiritual head Mullah Mohammad Omar.
Here’s hoping this will crack the Taliban’s back and be enough to bring our boys (and girls) home!
