A famous Hollywood actor is in some serious hot water after reportedly calling in a fake bomb threat back in March, and he could be facing five years in prison.
Former Silicon Valley actor, T.J. Miller, seemingly played out the whims of his onscreen character, Erlich Bachman, a techie who frequently engages in schemes that are not well thought-out and ultimately fail, by calling in a bomb threat involving a woman he had a grudge against.
Miller called 911 after consuming several drinks and getting into an argument with another woman on his train, claiming that a female passenger “has a bomb in her bag.”
Reports indicate that he gave authorities an incorrect train number. While Miller’s train rolled on to its destination in New York, another in Connecticut was stopped and searched.
The threat was taken quite seriously as indicated by this tweet from Atlantic contributor Alison Stewart, who happened to be on that line.

Passengers were kicked off the train and bomb squad officials were called in, but “no evidence of any explosive device or materials was detected.”
FBI documents indicate that stopping the train resulted in 926 man hours-worth of delays, and additional work incurred by police departments in New York and Connecticut.
Miller, who has also starred in blockbusters such as Deadpool, Office Christmas Party, and The Emoji Movie, was arrested for allegedly “intentionally conveying to law enforcement false information about an explosive device on a train traveling to Connecticut.”

Authorities indicate Miller has been released on a $100,000 bond, but the charges he is facing carry a maximum term of five years in jail.
The aforementioned Stewart tweeted out her response to Miller’s arrest saying “I’d heard Miller was ‘troubled’ but wow!”

Miller is a virulent anti-Trumper, once blasting the cast of “Silicon Valley” for “not doing enough to stop Trump.”
He was arrested in December of 2016 for assaulting a cab driver after the two had a political disagreement over the driver’s support of President Trump. Miller allegedly slapped and beat his Uber driver after the political discourse became too much for him to handle.
Now he’s graduated to federal crimes – allegedly – being investigated by multiple agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, Connecticut State Police, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department, Amtrak Police Department, and Westport Police Department.
