It’s official!

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is retiring. The Court’s swing vote is about to finally hang up his robe. His official retirement date will be July 31, 2018.

This retirement has been a long time coming. We’ve been covering the rumors for months and it’s finally happening. (RELATED: Speculation Surfaces of Anthony Kennedy’s Supreme Court Retirement).

It’s been rumored that Kennedy has been contemplating retirement for months and wanted to leave in order to ensure a Republican Congress and presidential administration would replace him.

Liberals are going absolutely insane over the prospect of another Trump-appointed Supreme Court justice.

Anthony Kennedy was appointed by Ronald Reagan but he has been a swing vote on the Court for a long time, often siding with liberals on key social issues like gay marriage. Given Trump’s history and his previous list of conservative justices that he was considering to replace Scalia, it’s safe to assume that he will nominate another strong conservative to the Supreme Court.

President Trump will have yet another chance to cement his legacy on the country by appointing a second Supreme Court justice. Let’s hope he chooses well. The future of the country depends on it.
