After Starbucks Promised to Hire 10,000 Refugees, Their Popularity Tanked

Liberals are still mad about President Donald J. Trump’s limited and temporary “travel ban”… An executive order which prohibited travel of refugees and immigrants from 7 countries which ties to Islamic terrorism.

Far-left CEO Howard Schultz of Starbucks, at the time, attacked Trump’s order, and said:

“Let me begin with the news that is immediately in front of us: we have all been witness to the confusion, surprise and opposition to the Executive Order that President Trump issued on Friday, effectively banning people from several predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States, including refugees fleeing wars . . . There are more than 65 million citizens of the world recognized as refugees by the United Nations, and we are developing plans to hire 10,000 of them over five years in the 75 countries around the world where Starbucks does business.”

But the public heard these comments, and they aren’t happy. Now, according to YouGov Brand Index, the popularity of Starbucks has dropped dramatically:

Since the January 29th hiring announcement, Starbucks’ consumer perception levels fell by two-thirds, as measured by YouGov BrandIndex’s Buzz score (“If you’ve heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”).

The backlash may hit the bottom line too: two days before Starbucks’ announcement, 30% of consumers said they’d consider buying from Starbucks the next time they wanted to buy coffee, the highest it’s been since last March. The percentage is now down to 24%, matching last August’s levels.

Clearly, Americans weren’t happy that these jobs weren’t going to Americans. Why couldn’t Starbucks have supported America, and hired 10,000 veterans instead?

Trump is focused on the major security problems of the refugee vetting problem. We can’t allow another terrorist attack on American soil. That’s not an anti-immigration position- We simply must know who is coming into the country.

What do you think about Starbucks’ bad news? Please leave us a comment (below) and tell us.

  • The pattern of CEO Howard Schultz of Starbucks remains constant, and supports the subterfuge that characterized the "Saudi spy", alias, Barack H. Obama, his "bosom comrade" Hitlary Clinton, the DNC and the continued harassment of the Trump entourage and supporters. Would a close look at his family ties reveal him to be an elite stooge of the families that own the 6 companies that control 96% of western world media? The same ones who continue to support the alias Barack H. Obama and the DNC and the subterfuge of the USA?
