Reps. Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar, two members of the far-left ‘Squad,’ are demanding that the next coronavirus relief package include cash payments for illegal immigrants.

Democrats have been calling for at least an additional $500 billion in spending in an emergency stopgap coronavirus relief bill, while Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is seeking to pass another $250 billion in loans to small companies on Thursday.

And the Squad wants to see some of that money handed over to illegal aliens.

Investments in the ‘Undocumented’

Pressley (D-MA), in an interview with MSNBC, suggested that the so-called ‘phase 4 relief bill’ needs to make investments in “vulnerable populations,” including the homeless, prisoners, and those in the country illegally.

“We need to continue to make federal investments in our community health centers,” the Democrat declared.

“We need to center the humanity of every individual family and workers and that includes not leaving behind undocumented and uninsured,” Pressley added.

Cash to Non-Citizens

Omar (D-MN), her office has revealed, is pushing for cash payments to families with a ‘mixed-status,’ where one individual does not have a social security number.

“It is absurd and cruel that a taxpaying, mixed status couple or family could be excluded from this relief,” she said.

To remedy this matter, Omar introduced a bill Tuesday that would allow those families to get relief checks.

“Comprehensive legislation is needed in the next package to ensure that all noncitizens, whether holding a SSN or not, can access these relief payments,” a statement reads.

AOC Upset

Omar and Pressley are following suit with colleague Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has been griping about the coronavirus stimulus package failing to take care of illegals.

AOC noted that cash payments in the first round will not be made to immigrants with tax IDs, or ITINs, a number issued by the IRS to ensure that people – including unauthorized immigrants – pay taxes.

Her ire was raised to such a level that she threw a temper tantrum on the House floor debating the bill.

Omar’s release adds: “Every individual taxpayer irrespective of citizenship status should receive government assistance.”

That is completely and utterly false.
