Every once in a while Saturday Night Live decides to be funny and poke fun at liberals.
Such was the case this past Saturday night in a sketch that had actress Scarlett Johansson playing a scientist demonstrating her invention that translates the thoughts of her dog, Max. But to her horror, Max is a Trump supporter.
“He won the Electoral College fair and square,” Max says reasonably. “The Dow’s up 2700 points since he was elected, what’s not to like?” Everyone else in the room is aghast. Cecily Strong’s character gasps, “Your dog is a monster!” while other characters call him a jackass and a dumb ass throughout the skit.
When Scarlett insists Trump is racist the dog replies, “What do you know about black people, you never brought one into our house once?” Other good one-liners include: “You just assume that because I’m a Trump supporter that I’m a xenophobic racist,” and “It’s that condescending attitude that made people want to vote for Trump in the first place.” Why is this “dog” so much smarter than the scientists and almost everyone else at SNL?
