Shocking: Trump Says This Former Army Soldier Should Be SHOT

Wow.  Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had some strong words for “no good traitor” Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl at a campaign rally earlier today.

He “should have been executed,” Trump said, referring to Bergdahl’s desertion of his post in Afghanistan in 2009.

“Thirty years ago,” he said, “he would have been shot.”

Via The Blaze:

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump says Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl should have been executed for leaving his post in Afghanistan.

Trump made the comments Thursday afternoon at a rowdy rally inside a packed Las Vegas theater at the casino-hotel Treasure Island.

Trump says Bergdahl is a “no-good traitor” and would have been shot 30 years ago.

Bergdahl was charged in March with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. The Army conducted a hearing on his case earlier this month.

Six American soldiers gave their lives searching for Bergdahl after he abandoned his fellow troops and disappeared into Taliban hands for over five years.

President Obama traded five high-ranging Taliban commanders for Bergdahl, then took a victory lap in the Rose Garden over the deal.

Soldiers from Bergdahl’s brigade were less celebratory, siding with Trump’s sentiments.

“I say we welcome him home with a firing squad,” one individual said.  “He’s a piece of trash and everyone from [Fort Richardson] knows it, the only person less American than that man is the president for giving up 5 hvt’s [High-Value Targets].”

Comment:  Did Trump go too far with his comments about Bergdahl, or do his traitorous actions require extreme punishment?

  • Being a USAF Veteran, served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield, I have to agree with Mr. Trumps comments. My Father was a WWII Veteran and fought proudly for our country and constitution. He was so proud to carry our flag and respected every vVeteran he came to know. He is no longer here, but if he were here, he would be so discouraghed and disappointed by what this country has done to it's fellow Soldiers and Military Men and Women. We need a President that will stand up for Our Flag ad Its Constitution set forth by Our Forefathers! I am not sure I will endorse Mr. Trump, but I know my next endorsement will depend heavily on Our Constitution, Our Flag, Our respect for the Those who are Serving our have Served to protect the Citizens of this Great USA. This includes not only the Military but All our Police Men and Woman and Government agencies putting their lives on the line for all Americans. God Bless America! I hope this new POTUS will rid this country of the Islamic and Muslim Terrorist who are undermining our country and it's laws and rights! A Must!

  • We should have kept the 5 terrorists in Gitmo and let the Taliban keep Bergdalh. That would have been a fair trade and it would not have cost us any money. Now that we have him, severe punishment is in order.

  • Comment: Did Trump go too far with his comments about Bergdahl, or do his traitorous actions require extreme punishment?

    Trump didn't go far enough!
ObaMao should also be tried as a traitor and punished (prison/execution) for releasing captured enemy combatants back to the enemy! Aiding and abetting the enemy is treason!

    • Bob I agree, he should be shot before a firing squad a,ong side every Talaban terrorist, Isis, Islamic extremee terrorists and Muslims trying to undermine the laws of our government and constitutional reights!

  • Bowe Bergdahl is still in the Army, he & his lawyer with his hand pick general are killing time waiting for the election to be over so Obama can pardon Bowe Bergdahl and the lawyer can get paid and the general can retire with out being fired by the next president ruining him career with a Conduct Unbecoming of a Officer and possibly loosing pay and benefits he has already lost respect from fellow soldiers, sailor's and airmen

  • That's exactly what I've been saying. Why is his "trial" taking forever? Do the powers that be think we will forget?
