SHOCKING Report Exposes Truth About Police Shootings!

Police Shooting

Hear that sound? It’s the sound of a narrative driven by President Obama, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the media – all of whom are trying to drive a wedge between people of different races – being flushed down the toilet.

A new study released by the New York Times of all places, indicates that while African-Americans do interact with law enforcement at a higher rate, suspects that are white are actually more likely to be fired upon by police officers.

Roland G. Fryer Jr., a professor of economics at Harvard, authored the study and actually entered into it with an admitted bias. According to the Times, “his anger after the deaths of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray and others drove him to study the issue” of police shootings.

When the results did not conform to the pre-conceived notion that blacks are shot by police officers at a higher rate as he had assumed, Fryer said his data-driven conclusions were the “most surprising result of my career.”

Via the New York Times:

A new study confirms that black men and women are treated differently in the hands of law enforcement. They are more likely to be touched, handcuffed, pushed to the ground or pepper-sprayed by a police officer, even after accounting for how, where and when they encounter the police.

But when it comes to the most lethal form of force — police shootings — the study finds no racial bias.

“It is the most surprising result of my career,” said Roland G. Fryer Jr., the author of the study and a professor of economics at Harvard. The study examined more than a thousand shootings in 10 major police departments, in Texas, Florida and California.

The result contradicts the mental image of police shootings that many Americans hold in the wake of the killings (some captured on video) of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.; Laquan McDonald in Chicago; Tamir Rice in Cleveland; Walter Scott in South Carolina; Samuel DuBose in Cincinnati; Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, La.; and Philando Castile in Minnesota.

In responding to the shooting deaths of two black men in Louisiana and Minnesota, President Obama said “the data shows black folks are more vulnerable to these kinds of incidents.”

Now that the data actually contradicts that, will the president be issuing a correction and apology to America’s police officers?

Comment: Are you shocked by research which shows whites are actually more likely to be shot by police officers? Will this change the viewpoints of BLM, the liberal media, or President Obama? Share your thoughts below.
