Sen. Mazie Hirono Actions Against The Attorney General Showed The Worst Of Congress

Democrats spent Wednesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing trying to pin some serious wrongdoing on Attorney General William Barr, or at least on President Trump — and completely struck out.

One of those responsible for showing how ignorant and bias they are was Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, a Democrat who is known to aggressively question Republicans with disrespect and disdain.

Hirono was shameful and showed the U.S. Senate at it’s worst. She had to read her statement to get her jabs at the Attorney General rather than read the report for herself. She was blind to the facts and she used her allotted time during the hearing to spew hatred and probably generated talking points.

Much of the noise focused on Tuesday’s news that special counsel Robert Mueller complained in a March 27 letter that Barr’s memo to Congress didn’t “fully capture the context, nature and substance” of Mueller’s report. Yet, as the AG calmly noted, Mueller never claimed Barr’s memo was “inaccurate or misleading,” only that “press reporting” on it was. Barr also noted that he never meant for his memo to provide full context since he planned to release the whole Mueller report a few weeks later.

Hirono was a bit “snitty,” when she told the Attorney General that he lied to Congress. She also claimed that Barr had; “chosen to be the president’s lawyer and side with him over the interests of the American people.”

This is the same Senator that believes a person is guilty until proven innocent as she did with the Kavanaugh hearing. In that hearing, there was not one piece of evidence to verify Ford’s allegations. Someone needs to remind her that simply saying something doesn’t make it true. Sen. Hirono has no respect for AG Barr, the President of the United States, or the Rule of Law. She wouldn’t even give the AG a chance to respond to mudslinging outburst.

Mueller’s report showed no crimes were committed against the trump administration in regards to Russian interference. Therefore President Trump is innocent, an innocent person cannot be involved in collusion if they are innocent therefore there was no collusion by Trump or his administration. Democrats can whine and complain all they want but facts are facts, why are we still discussing this? I am pretty sure there are immensely more issues at hand that can be confronted from a non-partisan way that would benefit all of humanity… let’s wrap this up.

Dems are loosing more and more credibility every day that this thing drags out. Barr said it best when he commented that “it’s time to stop using the judicial process for political purposes.”
