Fox News’ Sean Hannity Responds to Allegations of Sexual Harassment

Not long-after the departure of Bill O’Reilly from Fox News, Sean Hannity became the next major anchor with a target on his back.

Debbie Schlussel, a conservative columnist who has a long history of attacking conservatives (including Hannity – see the video below from SEVEN years ago), saw an opportunity open to claim that Hannity has sexually harassed her in the past.

Of course, anyone who took a good look at Schlussel would find it unlikely that a married man with kids earning $29 million a year (or anyone else) would choose her to harass…. or even do as much as hit on.

And it quickly turned out that Hannity did no such thing… which Schlussel quickly admitted. Despite appearing on a local radio show to recount an incident where Hannity allegedly asked her to a hotel room, and was ostracized after rejecting his advances, just three days later she stated that “I would never accuse him of that. Sexual harassment has a special meaning under the law, and I would never accuse him of that.”

Of course, she stands by her story, but claims it wasn’t sexual harassment. In that case, why tell the story? Because she wants a sexual harassment story, without being sued for libel for falsely accusing someone of sexual harassment. Unfortunately for her, it may already be too late.

In a released statement, the Fox News host said he “retained a team of some of the finest and toughest lawyers in the country who are now in the process of laying out the legal course of action we will be taking against this individual.”

Hannity took to Twitter on Sunday to reinforce his remark about taking legal action, posting a series of cryptic tweets, beginning with one that said he has spent “a lot of time with an army of attorneys.”

Suggesting there’s more to come, he concluded: “Stay tuned.”

When a social media user offered advice on who to go after, Hannity replied: “This is way way way bigger than any one individual.” He then posted a more mysterious tweet about IP addresses being traceable, saying, “Get Ready.”

Schlussel has lied about Hannity in the past – and the hotel incident is likely more of the same. She’s very wisely never put a date to when the alleged incident occurred, as it would be extremely easy to prove whether or not the two were in the same hotel on that day (based off their credit card records).

O’Reilly was never given the chance to put up a fight in defending his reputation – but Hannity is making sure he’s not put in the same situation.
