Sarah Sanders Wrecks Schumer: If He Needs Help Understanding Policy Negotiations, We’ll Send Someone

It’s not very often New York Senator Chuck Schumer gets called out on his knowledge of intricate policy negotiations, but then again, it’s not very often you have a woman like Sarah Huckabee Sanders working as press secretary in the White House.

That’s exactly what happened when Sanders blasted Schumer, the senior senator from New York, having served in the Senate since 1999, saying his knowledge of policy negotiations is rather suspect.

Schumer spent the weekend taking shots at President Trump, indicating that negotiating with him is akin to “negotiating with Jell-O.” He was referring to their inability to come to terms on an agreement to avert a government shutdown.

Sanders appeared on “Good Morning America” with Democrat puppet, George Stephanopoulos, and explained things to Schumer using smaller words and speaking slowly so he could more readily understand.

“We’ve laid out that we want to make a deal on DACA, we want to secure the border through the border wall and border security, we want to end chain migration and we want an end to the visa lottery system,” Sanders explained.

“I don’t know what’s confusing about that. I know that sometimes members like Senator Schumer need a little help and guidance getting through big policy negotiations like that, but the president’s laid out what he wants and if they need help understanding it, we’d be happy to send some people over there to explain it to him.”

Stephanopoulos was shocked – nay, dismayed – that Sanders would call out Schumer’s lack of intelligence.

“Do you really want to be questioning Senator Schumer’s knowledge of this legislation?” he asked.

With all due respect, most Americans understand that this is Schumer’s shutdown and are probably also questioning his knowledge of anything at this point.

Sanders refused to back down.

“Look, if he’s unclear about what the president has laid out, then possibly,” she reiterated.

Sanders originally hammered Schumer and the Democrats for being “obstructionist losers” as the shutdown began. Something on which she’s also completely accurate.

“They put politics above our national security, military families, vulnerable children, and our country’s ability to serve all Americans,” Sanders said in a statement.

“This is the behavior of obstructionist losers, not legislators.”

Obstructionist losers who don’t seem to understand policy negotiations either. Sanders is so good at tearing these clowns apart.
