The leaks need to end. Now.
That’s the general sentiment in the White House these days, as leaks of damaging information about the Trump Administration have reached a high point.
Earlier this week, White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway reacted to the recent spate of leaks by declaring that anyone caught leaking should be terminated immediately.
All this comes after an unfortunate incident where White House staffer Kelly Sadler suggested that the Administration shouldn’t care what ailing Senator John McCain thinks, as his time on earth is almost up.
The subsequent fallout from the embarrassing revelation led to a report by Jonathan Swan of Axios, who detailed a recent meeting held by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders where she berated staff over leaks and even suggested details of the very meeting itself would leak.
Of course, Sanders’s prediction came true: details about the meeting soon leaked out.
Now, as President Trump has indicated that it’s time for the leaking to stop, and has approved of a number of new rules to stop unauthorized leaking, Sarah Sanders has had enough. This morning, she went on “Fox & Friends” and really let any would-be leakers know what she really thinks of them.

Here’s the key quote: “I think it is disgusting and some of the most shameful behavior that you could ever engage. In it’s an honor and privilege to work for the president and to be part of his administration. Anybody who betrays that, I think is a total and complete coward and they should be fired.”
That about sums it up! Leakers are disgraceful and should be fired. No question about it.
