Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway Flatten the Media’s Collusion Obsession With Two Words

Team Trump has been, quite understandably, giddy ever since the President and his campaign were cleared of any wrongdoing in the Russia collusion investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Nowhere was this more apparent than in a chance encounter between White House press secretary Sarah Sanders and counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway on Monday.

Sanders happened to pass by a press gaggle in which Conway was fielding questions from reporters about the Mueller investigation findings and the Justice Department’s summary.

Conway eviscerated the ‘journalists’ in her presence with just two words.

Sanders reached in for a friendly embrace and Conway turned to the reporters and said with a smile, “We’re colluding.”

The press secretary burst into laughter at the wisecrack at the media’s expense.

There’s little doubt Jim Acosta was frantically typing a ‘Dear Diary – Sarah and Kellyanne Conway are really mean’ entry within moments of the takedown.

It must be truly infuriating for the media to have botched a story in such epic fashion for two years and now have to sit there and be the butt of jokes right to their faces. Good. No profession in America deserves more of a beatdown than journalism.

Kellyanne Loves to Rip the Media

Has there been a better ally for the President during very difficult times than Kellyanne Conway? She consistently puts the media in their place, most notably appearing with regularity on Chris Cuomo’s show on CNN.

Conway shredded Cuomo for being jealous of Fox.

“I’m so glad you mentioned Fox because none of you are able to get through most of your shows without mentioning them,” she laughed at Cuomo. “It’s not a good look.”

Conway also likes to take Acosta to task, referring to him as a smarta** when he delivered an ‘alternative facts’ quip.

“This is why I’m one of the only people around here who gives you the time of the day,” she fired back. “Let me get back in your face because you are such a smart*** most of the time and I know you want this to go viral.”

“A lot of these people don’t like you,” Conway added, referring to Acosta’s colleagues.

Sarah Loves to Rip the Media

We asked above who is a better ally to the President than Conway, but when it comes to media takedowns, Sarah Sanders is the queen.

The White House press secretary had a little fun at Acosta’s expense recently when he complained about other reporters getting questions, blasting him with a ‘dear diary’ reference.

Back in June, Sanders managed to blast Acosta’s intelligence or rather, the lack thereof.

Acosta had just taken comments from then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions out of context in an attempt to smear the Trump administration for continuing Barack Obama’s policy of separating illegal immigrant minors and adults.

Sanders responded by mocking him for finding it difficult “to understand even short sentences.”

Now, after relentless attacks on their boss and media questioning their own credibility, only to be vindicated, Sanders and Conway can be expected to unleash even more attacks on what Trump refers to as ‘the enemy of the people.’
