The Momma Grizzly is back!

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is indicating that she may run for higher office again. In an interview with radio host Mark Levin, Palin was asked if she had any regrets about running for vice president with John McCain.

Palin first said she’d run for higher office “in a heartbeat” before specifying that, the next time around, she wouldn’t be hamstrung by political consultants.

From The Hill:

Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said Sunday that she would run for higher office again “in a heartbeat.”

Palin made the remark to new Fox News host Mark Levin after he asked her if she was glad that she ran for vice president in 2008 on Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) ticket.

“Oh yes, I would do it again in a heartbeat,” replied Palin. “I will push back harder on some of those who were trying to mold me into something that I was not during the campaign. I would’ve pushed back and gotten more truth out there, but yes.”

These comments won’t come as a surprise for any fans of Palin. It was clear during the 2008 presidential campaign that Palin was largely prohibited from being herself on the trail. The establishment consultants surrounding Sen. McCain thought she was too unpolished, too rustic, and homespun.

Eight years later, a man named Donald Trump, who was about as politically polished as a New York City sidewalk, came along and proved the consultant class was wrong. That’s probably why Palin chose to endorse Donald Trump over Ted Cruz during the 2016 campaign – Trump’s the real deal, unlike the calculating Cruz.

Would you support Sarah Palin if she ran for higher office again? In the age of Trump, is now the perfect time for her to throw her hat in the ring? Tell us your thoughts below!
