Sanders Fires Back At Hillary After She Attacks Him – ‘Unlike Secretary Clinton, I Don’t Want To Relive 2016’

Sanders almost sounds like Trump in his response to Clinton's criticism.

Hillary Sanders

Bernie Sanders went on Fox News to do a town hall Monday night. And on top on what you would expect from the Vermont socialist, he said some things that, surprisingly (or maybe not) would go over well in the White House.

During one of her HBO promo tours, Hillary Clinton recently said this about Sanders, “He did not work until he was like 41 and then he got elected to something. It was all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

“Like”? Has she adopted Valspeak in her obvious dotage? Also, if it was “all just baloney” and Hillary and Bill were Democrat national players during that period, did they campaign against him?

Uh, no.

Sanders responded at the town hall: “Unlike Secretary Clinton, I don’t want to relive 2016. We’re in 2020 now.”

Bingo. Translation: You got me in Philadelphia then. Try it again, wretch. Just try it.

When asked if he was likable (Hillary assures he is not): “But, what I would say on a good day, is my wife likes me,” Sanders said to solid applause. “But also, if you guys look at some of the polling they do for United States senators, in most cases I turn out to be the most popular senator in the country.”

Key word there being “some.”

If the poll question is worded, “Who is the most likable senator who wants to bring on an economic depression and who would generally destroy America?” then no doubt he wins hands down.

He’s probably referring to national polls where the person who wins gets about a 20% likability rating. In that kind of poll, it is very possible he was up against bright shining lights of sunshine and charisma like Liz Warren and Tom Steyer.

But at least he’s a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president who can put together a sentence without endorsing Donald Trump, picking a fight with an autoworker, or advocating the ban of “AR-14s.”

That would be the other guy.
