Samantha Bee Loses First Sponsor Over Ivanka Trump Insult

Samantha Bee is under fire for comments she made about Ivanka Trump, just days after Roseanne Barr lost a show for making an offensive tweet about former Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. (RELATED: ‘Roseanne’ Canceled on ABC After Crude Tweets).

During one of the anti-Trump tirades on her show “Full Frontal,” Bee took a direct shot at Ivanka Trump, calling her a “feckless c*nt.” Why? Because Ivanka posted a photo with her son.

“Ivanka Trump, who works at the White House, chose to post the second most oblivious tweet we’ve seen this week,” Bee said. “You know, Ivanka, that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices you feckless c*nt!” (RELATED: Samantha Bee Calls Ivanka Trump a ‘Feckless C***’).,

Bee was apparently under the impression that Donald Trump is responsible for the immigration laws that have been on the books long before he took office, which is insane. It’s interesting how liberals didn’t seem to care about the “regime’s immigration policy” when it was Obama in office.

This isn’t the first time a comment on her show has gotten her into some hot water. During a report on the Conservative Political Action Conference, she accused one attendee caught on camera of having a “Nazi haircut.” In reality, his haircut was to accommodate the attendee’s stage 4 brain cancer. While Bee and her crew had no way of knowing this, the point is that Bee is the kind of person who will carelessly call her political opponents Nazi’s on national television, even without knowing a single thing about them.

A number of conservatives have called for a boycott of her sponsors in response to this recent comment, which I thought was unique. Perhaps it was the boycott of Laura Ingraham’s sponsors that have some conservatives out for revenge, and at least one domino has fallen so far. Autotrader tweeted earlier today that they’ve suspended their sponsorship from Bee’s show.

It’s hardly the consequence that Roseanne Barr faced – and I’d even disagree that Bee and Barr’s comments are comparable. Barr made a comment on her personal Twitter account, and an entire production team lost their jobs over it (nearly all of which were offended by Barr’s tweet). Bee’s comments were approved by TBS’ legal team and editorial team for broadcast. That means the network was A-OK with her comments – and it allows Bee to outsource blame if anyone calls for her firing.

I guess Roseanne’s mistake was making her comments on Twitter instead of in her show’s script.
