Rush Limbaugh Shares Heart-Wrenching Cancer Update, Michael Savage Attacks Him

Rush Limbaugh Michael Savage Cancer

Conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh shared sobering details of his ongoing battle with lung cancer, telling listeners he can no longer deny he’s “under a death sentence.”

Limbaugh updated fans on his condition which he describes as terminal.

“It’s tough to realize that the days where I do not think I’m under a death sentence are over,” he announced.

“Now, we all are, is the point,” he continued.

“We all know that we’re going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it.”

Limbaugh went on to provide details about the progression of his cancer that he said doctors had previously ‘rendered dormant.’

“There’s always the reality and the knowledge that that can change and it can come back because it is cancer,” he pondered.

“It eventually outsmarts pretty much everything you throw at it.”

Michael Savage Goes After Rush Limbaugh For Discussing His Cancer

As Rush was updating his devoted fans, another popular conservative radio host went on the attack.

Radio host Michael Savage, in an unprovoked and reprehensible attack, slammed Limbaugh for sharing details of his cancer battle with listeners.

“Limbaugh’s crying about his cancer on air! Worst 15 minutes in radio history!” he exclaimed on Twitter.

After voting not to “drag” his audience down with such details, Savage wished: “Best wishes RUSH, but stop and leave the stage with dignity.”

“Drag you down.”

Did it perhaps occur to Savage that Limbaugh’s listeners, many of whom adore and revere him, might want to know about his condition, might want to share in his journey?

I’m quite sure many of Savage’s listeners would feel the same about him, despite his obvious disdain for decency.

Megyn Kelly provided the best possible response to Savage’s statements.

“I think I speak for, oh, pretty much everyone when I say STFU you absolute douchebag,” she tweeted in response.

Savage has had a longstanding beef with anybody who isn’t named Michael Savage, or his real name, Michael Alan Weiner.

In 2009, after he had been banned from the U.K., Michael Savage launched a verbal tirade in which he defined Rush Limbaugh as a phony.

“Limbaugh has turned out to be the biggest phony of all of them, all of them,” he claimed.

“Amongst all of them, he is the biggest fraud.”

More recently, he has blasted Limbaugh and Fox News host Sean Hannity as “intellectual dwarfs” when it came to their analysis of the coronavirus pandemic.

Presidential Medal of Freedom Winner

But El Rushbo can weather attacks. He’s done it his whole life.

Whether from competitors on the radio or the left.

Earlier this year, Limbaugh was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom during President Trump’s State of the Union Speech, a move that left the radio legend quite emotional.

“Rush Limbaugh, thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country,” Trump said.

The medal, the President explained, was “in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and that you inspire, and all of the incredible work that you have done for charity.”

Limbaugh began his career as a DJ in Pennsylvania after dropping out of Southeast Missouri State University.

He has gone on to become the premier voice of the conservative movement in America, having rightfully been inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame and the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

We here at The Political Insider wish Rush Limbaugh all the best in his fight against lung cancer.
