“Harry Potter” Author Apologizes For Posting Deceptive Video of President Trump

“Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling specializes in fiction. And her talent for story-telling also applies to politics.

Assuming that not a single one of her 11 million followers on Twitter would fact check her, she posted a video purporting to show a wheelchair-bound child attempting to touch Trump, who was then ignored by The Donald.

She’s since deleted her thread of tweets (which we previously reported on), but you can still read them all in the hyperlink, and the selectively edited video she shared versus what actually happened below, side by side.

She’s since been called out by everyone, left, right, and center, for peddling the deceptive clip, but it took four days until she apologized. By then, millions of people had seen her tweets (which had been retweeted and favorited hundreds of thousands of times). It wasn’t even until Politifact awarded her a “Pants on Fire” rating that she bothered to apologize.

And she did apologize…. kind of.

Well that was a nice apology to everyone except Donald Trump. Even the New York Times called her out for this half-assed apology, in what can only be described as peak Trump Derangement Syndrome.

There’s a problem with people adhering to “alternative facts,” but it isn’t coming from our side. It’s coming from the liberal likes of J.K. Rowling who play fast and loose with the facts in order to disparage our president.
