McGowan criticized Hillary’s husband Bill Clinton in 2018, after the former president said he hadn’t apologized to Monica Lewinsky since their scandal over two decades ago.
“I have never talked to her,” Bill Clinton said at the time. “But I did say publicly on more than one occasion that I was sorry. That’s very different. The apology was public.”
‘You actually owe EVERYONE an apology, especially her’
McGowan tweeted, “Bill Clinton. Here is the truth of it: a human life was altered & destroyed due to your selfishness. Because. You. Could. You not only wiped your semen on a young girl’s dress, you left a stain on society. You actually owe EVERYONE an apology, especially her.”

Beyond Bill and Hillary Clinton, McGowan has been vocal against anyone she believes perpetrated or aided and abetted sexual harassment and violence.
When award-winning actress Meryl Streep claimed ignorance of Weinstein’s behavior in December 2017, McGowan was having none of it. Streep said of her work with Weinstein “Not everybody knew. Harvey supported the work fiercely, was exasperating but respectful with me in our working relationship, and with many others with whom he worked professionally. I didn’t know about these other offenses.”

When Streep appeared on the Golden Globe Awards that year, McGowan said in a since deleted tweet, “Actresses, like Meryl Streep, who happily worked for The Pig Monster, are wearing black @GoldenGlobes in a silent protest. YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You’ll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real change. I despise your hypocrisy. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa.”
Marchesa is a womenswear company that was founded by Weinstein’s ex-wife, Georgina Chapman. The “Pig Monster” referred to in the tweet is presumably Weinstein.

McGowan is Right
However one feels about Rose McGowan in general, including her politics, we should all be able to acknowledge that she make plenty of good points about the rank hypocrisy in the entertainment and political worlds when it comes to sexual assault.
With Bill and Hillary Clinton sitting right at the top of that list.
