Rod Rosenstein, the former Deputy Attorney General, admitted that he had not “read every word” of the FISA application against Carter Page.
Rosenstein was questioned by the Senate Judiciary Committee as the first witness into a new investigation of Robert Mueller’s failed Russia probe. As Deputy Attorney General, Rosenstein had signed the FISA warrant renewal for Carter Page, then-candidate Trump’s campaign aide.
Rosenstein admitted to Senator Mike Lee, that he was “not sure [he] read every page, but [he] was familiar with what was in it,” and that it didn’t matter as much, as it was “just a reauthorization” as it had been approved 3 times before.
He confirmed again to Senator Ted Cruz that he was “not sure [he] read every word,” but that he had “certainly reviewed it.” Cruz pointed out that there was “significant exculpatory material” within the document in regards to the failed Russia investigation, which Rosenstein claimed he had no idea were present.
“If you knew then what you know now, would you have signed the warrant application?” Lindsey Graham, the chairman of the committee, then asked Rosenstein.
“No, I would not,” Rosenstein replied.
The former Deputy AG also claimed that he had no idea the dodgy dossier that was used to form the basis of the whole Russian investigation was bought and paid for by the Democrat National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

I can interpret this in only two ways. Either, Rosenstein knew damn well what was going on with the FISA warrant and the Russia hoax, and ignored all the evidence that would have exonerated the President and his aides, or, he’s simply a useful idiot for the left and the Democrat Party! Either way, just like most of the higher-ups in the Deep State, he shouldn’t be let anywhere near the wheels of power ever again!

Rosenstein is the enemy of the People.
Only Dems (not even all) will believe this lying crook. He needs to be in jail. You just don't sign important documents without fully understanding it. For me it's just another lie.
I realize that in his position he may not have had time to fully vette all pre authorized documents that came across his desk ... but he should have made the time for this "one of a kind" FISA app which he knew was to be used to spy on a presidential candidate and his campaign deserved more than the cursory "review" Rosenstein testified to ... he obviously didn't want to know what was behind the curtain ... his signature was the same as lying to the judge in person ... disbarment and contempt of court proceedings should have been started long ago ...
This BS of I don't recall or I don't remember doesn't play. You can't be up to your ears in the in the shxt for over three years then suddenly play ignorant. We don't buy in to stupid!
I guess the swamp has some really stupid creatures floating around in there!?
I hope Lindsey isn't going to let him get away with this, but I'm not holding my breath.
Rod may be good at playing verbal dodgeball but I say he's fulla Rosenschiff.
He failed to do his job because of "assumptions" he made. Sorry, no cigar, pal. You're fired...
