Robert De Niro Calls Trump ‘Crazy’ in Profanity-Laden CNN Interview

When outspoken liberal actor Robert De Niro was asked about Fox News during a CNN interview on Sunday, he called President Trump “crazy” and dropped a pair of f-bombs in an appearance that was laden with vulgarity.

De Niro appeared on the CNN program “Reliable Sources” where host Brian Stelter asked the actor what his thoughts were on the Democrats’ push for impeachment.

“You’ve been calling for the president to be impeached,” Stelter said. “Are you satisfied with what the Democrats are now doing?”

Impeachment ‘Has To Happen’

De Niro said that Democrats have “no choice” because an inquiry into impeaching the President “has to happen.”

Stelter also asked the Hollywood legend if he believes Trump should step down.

“I don’t think he’s capable of resigning,” De Niro said. “He’s worse than I ever could have imagined.”

De Niro went on to say that he believes Trump is “crazy in a way… just crazy,” while also praising liberal media outlets.

“If it wasn’t for you, CNN, MSNBC and some other outlets, The New York Times, Washington Post, I mean, where are we? This is a crazy world,” De Niro continued. “This guy is crazy. We’ve got to get him out.”

Stelter, who questions Trump’s mental stability regularly, asked De Niro what he meant exactly by “crazy.”

‘This Guy Should Not Be President’

“When you say crazy, do you mean in a medical sense? Because that gets criticized pretty quickly,” Stelter asked.

De Niro replied, “Possibly medical, too. I’m starting to think. I didn’t think that before but now, I actually, when I saw him out in front of the helicopter talking endlessly and sweating and sweating.”

The actor then blasted anyone who disagreed with him and the Leftist view of politics, saying that he can’t comprehend how anyone could support the president.

“This guy should not be president,” he said.

Stelter noted that some right-leaning pundits, including those on Fox News, have criticized De Niro for similar rhetoric.

“F*** ‘em, f***‘em,” De Niro responded.

“This is cable, so it’s not an FCC violation, but it is still a Sunday morning,” Stelter said. “Why do you chose to go that way?”

CNN has yet to make a statement on Robert De Niro’s choice of words on their outlet.
