The liberal media is thrilled they finally have a supposed “smoking gun” on President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Or do they?
Donald Trump Jr., met with Natalia Veselnitskaya, a Russian-linked lawyer, and the meeting was arranged by British PR guru Rob Goldstone. Supposedly, Trump Jr., was promised details that would show Hillary Clinton’s corruption never before released.
The media has breathlessly reported it all day.
As Fox News reported:
Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday released what he said was the “entire email chain” of his conversations setting up a disputed meeting with a Russian attorney, showing what appeared to be an offer to provide information that would “incriminate” Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”
The president’s eldest son seemed to readily accept the offer, according to the messages. The email chain — purported to be between Trump Jr. and publicist Rob Goldstone — occurred in June 2016. Goldstone went on to set up the controversial June 9 meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, whom he identified in the emails at one point as “The Russian government attorney who is flying over from Moscow.”

And as liberal Mother Jones reports, Goldstone had dinner with Emin Agalarov and Donald Trump in 2013 at a Nevada restaurant, prior to the Miss Universe Pageant in Moscow.
