Rioters Take Over Denver – Break Into Family-Owned Sandwich Shop

Ever since the death of George Floyd back in May, violent riots have been spreading across the United States like wildfire. They have been particularly bad in Democrat-run cities, where rioters are essentially given free reign to wreak as much havoc as they want.

Riots Break Out In Denver

On Saturday night, the riots became out of control in the Democrat-run city of Denver, Colorado, according to 9News. There, rioters threw a motorcycle cop, set a tree on fire (so much for being environmentally sensitive), and set fires in the streets. They also shot fireworks at police, threw rocks at a sheriff’s vehicle, burned an American flag, painted anti-police graffiti, and caused enough trouble that nine protesters were arrested.

Dressed in black and armed with helmets and shields, the rioters smashed windows and broke into a downtown Quiznos, which has been owned by a local family for more than a decade.

“The owners of the Quiznos arrived to clean up,” one reporter tweeted. “The restaurant is owned by a family. The whole family is out here cleaning up the damage now. They’ve owned it for 12 years, never seen anything like this.”

“I don’t even know where to start,” the owner reportedly told him.

Democrat Tries To Dismantle Denver Police

As Denver is destroyed by riots, one Democrat lawmaker is trying to destroy the city’s police force. Denver City Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca recently submitted a proposal to replace DPD with an unarmed “peace force,” but she was the only person to vote for it at the city council meeting.

“This department is charged with responsibility to actively implement strategies to prevent conflict, reduce violence, and strengthen security and is to do so prioritizing a holistic, anti-racist, public health oriented approach,” stated a document posted to the Denver City Council website.

In her proposal, CdeBaca called for the new agency to “subsume” all of DPD’s funding, and to then focus on underlying issues that lead to police response including homelessness and mental illness. The Denver City Council website explained that the peacekeeping force wouldn’t have immunity unless “it can be shown by clear and convincing evidence that the action was necessary for immediate self-defense and/or the immediate defense of another person.”

CdeBaca told reporters that she is anticipating that the peace force idea will end up on the ballot through the petition process.
