The Washington Post has run an explosive report with multiple women having accused Alabama Senate nominee, Roy Moore, of inappropriate contact with four teenage girls.
The harrowing accusations include a detailed account between Moore and a 14-year-old girl in 1979. At the time, Moore was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney.
“Two of (the accuser’s) childhood friends say she told them at the time that she was seeing an older man, and one says (she) identified the man as Moore,” the Post writes.

Several prominent Republicans have voiced concerns over the report, saying that if proven true, Moore must step aside.
“If these allegations are true, he must step aside,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) explained in no uncertain terms, “I’m horrified, and if this is true he needs to step down immediately.”

Moore has issued a statement denying any of the claims in the Post story.
“These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign,” he said.
Mainstream media reporters are also trying to force a narrative that Moore is somehow a ‘Trump candidate.’

President Trump, however, vociferously supported Moore’s opponent in the primaries, Luther Strange, a candidate CNN said “has supported his agenda during his few months in the Senate.”
On the eve of the election in September, Trump continued to endorse Strange:
All three tweets were deleted after Moore secured the nomination, and Trump would later express hope that he would win the Senate seat in November. But they were hardly rock solid endorsements.
Regardless, the accusations remain disturbing in a time when many women in many job fields are coming forward with sexual misconduct accusations they were previously unwilling to discuss.
