President Trump on Wednesday sent followers a link to a Wall Street Journal column suggesting the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago could open Pandora’s Box, allowing similar raids on Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton as payback should Republicans regain control of Congress and the White House.
The former President emailed supporters an ‘ICYMI’ feature with the Journal op-ed written by Kimberly Strassel.
“What went around Monday (of last week) will come around hard for the Democrats when Republicans control the Justice Department and FBI,” she wrote.
Strassel argued that the FBI raid could set off “a toxic cycle of reprisal and escalation” should the GOP sweep the midterms and/or win back the White House in 2024.
She argued that a politicized DOJ now in the hands of Republicans may start raiding the homes of Democrats long viewed as corrupt – the Bidens, the Clintons, and Barack Obama to name a few.

Trump Seeking Payback?
Former President Donald Trump also posted charts to his Truth Social media showing the FBI raid might result in political payback as well.
In one such post, a Trafalgar Group poll shows 83.3% of voters feel they will be more motivated to vote following the raid on Mar-a-Lago. Another shows that 76.7% believe Trump’s “political enemies” were behind the unprecedented actions.
A Vice column also frets over signs that revenge and payback may be the goal of Team Trump.
They point to the president’s longtime personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who told the New York Post, “If Trump gets elected, the first thing he’ll do is raid every one of Biden’s houses.”
While we await the Merrick Garland statement, worth noting that Rudy Giuliani warned that “If Trump gets elected [president], the first thing he’ll do is raid every one of Biden’s houses.”

To be fair, that means they’d be doing something they should have done well before the 2020 presidential election.
It wouldn’t be payback, it’d be a reckoning for all those corrupt Democrats who have repeatedly gotten away with their behavior. The tipped scales of justice are why this nation is at a tipping point currently.
And Vice should be less concerned about the potential boomerang effect and start questioning why the FBI conducted their unprecedented raid in the first place.
The media is always more worried about the response from Trump than they are about what is being done to Trump. Making them complicit in the banana republic this country is morphing into.
Biden’s payback – Good. Garland’s payback – Good. The FBI executing another ‘insurance policy’ – Good. Trump doing the same thing – Fall of the Republic! ZOMG!

Media Will Request Affidavit Be Unsealed
Before we look too far down the road, a federal judge is expected to hold a hearing Thursday afternoon to determine whether to release the search warrant affidavit used to justify last week’s FBI raid on his home.
The Justice Department has been trying to keep the affidavit under seal, citing an ongoing investigation and suggesting it’d be redacted so heavily that it “would not serve any public interest.”
Trump, on the other hand, has demanded the release of the “completely unredacted” search warrant affidavit.

“I call for the immediate release of the completely Unredacted Affidavit pertaining to this horrible and shocking BREAK-IN,” Trump posted to social media.
He also demanded the federal judge who had approved the warrant recuse himself from the matter.
But the judge, Bruce Reinhart, Fox News reports, “is slated to preside over the hearing, although it is unclear whether he will make a decision from the bench or take the case under advisement.”
Reinhart had recused himself from another case involving a lawsuit by the former President against Hillary Clinton due to concerns he could not be impartial.
At any rate, Trump going full Wyatt Earp on the Vendetta Ride would be entertaining, if nothing else.
As Doc said, “Oh, make no mistake. It’s not revenge he’s after. It’s a reckoning.”
