Report: Trump Threatened to ‘Obliterate’ Taliban Leader, Then Sent Him Satellite Image of His House

Donald Trump claims he once threatened to “obliterate” a Taliban leader and then followed up the threat by sending him a satellite image of his house.

Trump’s comments came during an interview with Fox News personality Sean Hannity. He was boasting of his ability to keep the Taliban in check and keep U.S. soldiers safe, in contrast to the disaster that came with the Biden administration.

The former President recalled a conversation he had with the terrorist group’s co-founder Abdul Ghani Baradar. Baradar is now Afghanistan’s deputy prime minister.

“Under my conversations with Abdul, who’s the leader of the Taliban, for 18 months, we didn’t lose one soldier,” Trump bragged, adding that he told him he’d “obliterate” him if he failed to follow orders in their negotiations to withdraw.

Hannity asked, “Didn’t you at one point tell him, ‘I know exactly where you are,’ and give him the exact coordinates where he was?” Hannity asked.

“No, I sent him a picture of his house,” replied Trump. “He said, ‘But why but why do you send me a picture of my house?’ I said, ‘You have to figure that one out.”

Trump Threatened to Obliterate Taliban Leader

Trump continued to relay how his threat to obliterate the Taliban leader was a show of strength that the terror organization took seriously.

“I said, ‘If you do anything, we’re going to hit you harder than any country has ever been hit,'” Trump claimed.

The tale was peppered with the usual bombast and jabs at President Biden that we’ve all come to expect. And it is pretty hilarious.

“He said, ‘I understand, your excellency.’ He called me ‘your excellency’ — I don’t know if he calls Biden” that, the former President said.

Would Have Withdrawn Troops More Effectively Than Biden

Trump proceeded to explain that the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan began under his administration and that he supported exiting the two-decade war.

“I’m the one who got it down to very few soldiers. I wanted to get out,” he said.

But, he explained, he would have handled things differently.

“We would have had a very similar schedule, but I would have taken the military out last,” Trump said adding that he also would not have left “the best military equipment in the world” behind for the Taliban to claim.

Instead, the evacuation and ceding control of Afghanistan to the Taliban led to a suicide bombing killing 13 service members and hundreds of Americans being left behind in the hostile country for a significant period of time.

This past December, Trump hammered General Mark Milley over the withdrawal from Afghanistan, calling the Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman a “f***ing idiot.”

Trump spoke to a crowd at Mar-a-Lago about military planes and equipment left behind for the Taliban to claim after the disastrous withdrawal.

He claimed Milley told him it would be cheaper to leave the planes behind rather than transport them elsewhere.

“That’s when I realized he was a f***ing idiot,” Trump explained.

“We lost 13 soldiers, and we also had a large number of soldiers horribly wounded — no legs, no arms, their face blown to smithereens,” Trump told Hannity.

An Army report revealed multiple commanders involved in the operation gave sworn testimony indicating the Biden administration failed to grasp the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, putting American troops in greater danger.

The report, first brought to light by the Washington Post, revealed what they call “bleak, blunt assessments of top military commanders” in claiming White House officials “failed to grasp the Taliban’s steady advance on Afghanistan’s capital.”
