Report: John Kasich Being Considered For A Potential President Biden Cabinet

According to a new report, Joe Biden is considering former Republican governor of Ohio John Kasich for a role in his Cabinet if the Democratic presidential nominee wins the November 3rd election.

According to Politico, Kasich is not the only Republican name that has been raised to potentially serve a President Biden.

Republicans Meg Whitman of California, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, and former Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake were also mentioned.

Biden: ‘Diversity Of Ideology And Background Is A Core Value Of The Transition’

A spokesperson for Team Biden said that while no final decisions regarding an incoming cabinet would be made until the election is decided, the former vice president did want to signal that a “diversity of ideology and background is a core value of the transition.”

Kasich has been a leading Never Trumper who endorsed Biden after frequent disagreements with Trump since he was elected four years ago.

Kasich even made an appearance at the Democratic National Convention this year, standing before a virtual crossroads.

The former governor urged voters to take the Biden path.

Crossroads Kasich

“I’m sure there are Republicans and independents who couldn’t imagine crossing over to support a Democrat,” Kasich said at the DNC convention.

“They fear Joe may turn sharp left and leave them behind.”

“I don’t believe that,” Kasich added.

“Because I know the measure of the man — reasonable, faithful, respectful. And you know, no one pushes Joe around.”

Kasich Isn’t The Only RINO To Endorse Biden

In addition to Kasich, a great many Republicans–nearly 350 of them–have come out against Trump and have endorsed Biden.

The list reads like a who’s who of the old Republican establishment.

Republican Senators David Durenberger of Minnesota, Gordon J. Humphrey of New Hampshire (who have both become independents), John Warner of Virginia, and Jeff Flake of Arizona have all endorsed Biden.

Four Republican cabinet secretaries have endorsed Biden, including Obama administration Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Bush administration Secretary of State Colin Powell, and EPA Director Christine Whitman, who also appeared at the Democratic convention.

Former Hewlett Packard CEO and GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has endorsed Biden.

So has Cindy McCain, the widow of Sen. John McCain and mother of The View’s Meghan McCain.

Of course, Meghan has said she too will vote for Biden.

Over 100 McCain 2008 and 30 Romney 2012 campaign staffers have also endorsed Biden.

A group of nearly two dozen George W. Bush campaign and administration staffers have endorsed Biden.

So as you see, much of the Republican establishment is united – against our current Republican president. The Swamp in full effect.

And these are the people who wonder why President Trump was elected in the first place.
