Democrat lawmakers are reportedly seeking to add language into this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would keep alleged white supremacists from joining the military.
The Hill reports, “Lawmakers are taking matters into their own hands to prevent white supremacists and other extremists from joining and remaining in the military.”
The obsession with linking ‘white supremacy’ to the Capitol riots and using it to pursue political opposition continues unabated.
Rep. Anthony Brown (D-MD) tells the outlet, “The attack on our Capitol was an insurrection fueled in large part by groups that espouse the same extreme white supremacists’ views groups that actively recruit veterans and from the ranks of our military.”
Brown says he’s been in touch with the Biden administration as well as the Department of Defense over the possible measures.
The Hill notes that 27 military members past and present were charged in the riots out of 140 total people.

The report goes on to note that Senate Democrats are reviewing how the Pentagon implements provisions from the current NDAA “before crafting legislation for this year’s bill.”
Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) also said he will work with his colleagues in the Senate as well as the Biden administration to “root out hate in our military.”
It seems like not all that long ago that Democrats believed painting an entire group of people with a broad brush was racist. Now, they do so rather freely when it comes to our military men and women.
Speaking of which, while Democrats are seeking to root out alleged ‘white supremacists’ from the military, President Biden is assuring that transgender individuals will be allowed to serve.
President Biden signed an executive order on Monday reversing the ban on transgender troops that was imposed by the Trump administration.
The report on Democrats focusing on ‘hate’ in the military comes following a debacle of an incident involving the National Guard last week.
Guard troops were “banished” to a parking garage after serving to defend against potential threats at the inauguration of President Biden.
One Guardsman accused Democrats of using them as a prop, though the order likely came from the Capitol Police.
“Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service,” he said.
“Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage,” the Guardsman added. “We feel incredibly betrayed.”
At President Biden’s inauguration, National Guard troops were vetted for extremist views despite there being “no intelligence indicating an insider threat” to the event.
