Report: Biden Would Reverse Trump Immigration Reforms, Re-Implement Obama-Era Policies

An extensive report by the Heritage Foundation suggests Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden would reverse President Trump’s immigration reforms and return America to Obama-era immigration policies.

The conservative think tank notes that the differences between the immigration policies of Biden and President Trump are “stark.”

The analysis suggests Biden would revert to several key policies of the Obama administration, including the expansion of protections for so-called Dreamers and providing amnesty to an overwhelming number of illegals.

“If Biden were to become president, he would return to many of the same immigration policies in place during the Obama administration,” the report reads.

It continues: “This would include protecting and expanding the DACA program, admitting at least 125,000 refugees annually and seeking amnesty for 11 million illegal aliens.”

Biden Immigration Policies Will Return America to the Obama Era

During a campaign stop in Arizona this past August, President Trump declared victory on his promised border wall and warned about Biden’s “deadly” immigration platform.

“You don’t hear about the wall anymore because we won,” Trump said.

“Joe Biden is the puppet of the radical left-wing movement that seeks the complete elimination of America’s borders and boundaries,” he continued.

“They want to take the wall down, they don’t want borders, they want sanctuary cities.”

“Biden’s plan is the most radical extreme, reckless, dangerous, and deadly immigration plan put forward by a major party candidate,” the President claimed.

“It must be defeated and it will be defeated on November 3rd.”

‘We Won’ On The Border Wall

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in September updated Americans on the construction of the border wall, reporting it is being built at about “10 miles per week.”

The Trump administration, they claimed, “is building (a) new wall and doing so faster than ever before.”

Biden, according to Heritage, would halt any further construction on the border wall if elected.

“Building a wall will do little to deter criminals and cartels seeking to exploit our borders,” his website claims.

Border Wall Could Be Amy Coney Barrett’s First Supreme Court Case

Earlier this week, the Supreme Court agreed to review a pair of cases involving Trump’s immigration policies – including challenges to border wall funding and asylum policies.

That news is a gentle reminder of another promise then-candidate Trump made during his previous campaign – to elevate conservative judges to the court, something we’re seeing with our own eyes as we speak.

The immigration policy cases could potentially represent the first involving Amy Coney Barrett should she be confirmed.

The Heritage report is a good indication that President Trump is seeking to move America forward on border security, while Biden wants to set the nation back.
