Rand Paul Blasts ‘Lying’ Fauci, Says He Ignores Natural Immunity To Promote Mass Vaccination

On Tuesday, Sen. Rand Paul criticized top White House doctor Anthony Fauci and the Biden administration for ‘not following the science’ regarding natural immunity.

Fauci does this, according to Paul, in order to push for mass vaccinations.

Paul made his remarks during an interview on Fox News’ “Kudlow.”

Paul Attacks Fauci

Fauci has said in the past that he does not “have a real firm answer” on the subject of natural immunity – that is, natural antibodies that occur once someone has contracted and survived the COVID virus.

That answer doesn’t sit well with Paul.

Speaking on Kudlow Tuesday, Sen. Paul asserted that Fauci is “lying” to the American people on natural immunity in order to push for mass vaccinations.

“Hey, this guy has an opinion on baseball, hockey, Tinder, and Christmas, but he was asked the other day about natural immunity that you acquire after the disease, he is like, ‘Oh, that is really interesting thought, I never thought about that,” Paul told host Larry Kudlow.

Paul continued, “I don’t have an opinion because I haven’t thought about naturally acquired immunity. He has and he is lying to you.”

Paul said Fauci lies about his knowledge of natural immunity because it “foils his plans to get everybody possible vaccinated.”

Paul: We Can’t ‘Ignore Naturally Acquired Immunity’

“He thinks it might slow down vaccination,” Paul said. “And I’m for people getting vaccinated particularly people at risk, but the thing is, if you ignore naturally acquired immunity then you’re saying we don’t have enough people, you have to force it on younger people.”

“There was a statistic that came out that somebody put together today,” Paul continued. “If you’re 85, your chances of dying are 10,000 times greater than if you’re 10.”

“Should we treat a 10-year-old the same we treat an 85-year-old?” the senator asked. “It is nonsense.”

NBC News reported that “evidence is growing that contracting SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, is generally as effective as vaccination at stimulating your immune system to prevent the disease. Yet federal officials have been reluctant to recognize any equivalency, citing the wide variation in Covid patients’ immune responses to infection.”
