Throughout his entire presidency, Barack Obama routinely ignored America’s immigration laws as well as instituting unconstitutional executive actions granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.
Well, now that President-elect Donald Trump has promised to reverse Obama’s executive actions and finally enforce our immigration laws, one of America’s largest cities has just promised to continue Obama’s lawlessness well into the future.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel just announced that his city will continue to be a sanctuary city, even if it means losing out on precious federal funds from the Trump administration.

In a Monday statement, Emanuel said, “To be clear about what Chicago is — it always will be a sanctuary city. To all those who, after Tuesday’s election, (are) very nervous … you are safe in Chicago. You are secure in Chicago, and you are supported in Chicago.”

“Cities that refuse to cooperate with federal authorities will not receive taxpayer dollars, and we will work with Congress to pass legislation to protect those jurisdictions that do assist federal authorities,” Trump said back in September, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Liberal cities continue to thwart America’s laws and Chicago appears to be the the latest in a long line willing to protect illegal immigrants while allowing American citizens to suffer.
