This sums it up perfectly…
Ha ha! Russian President Vladimir Putin sometimes wears President Trump’s ties.
But after Trump’s first offiical meeting with Putin, Trump proved to the world that he’s not some Russian stooge or puppet. Instead, Trump pressed Putin multiple times on allegations of election interference during the meeting, according to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
As CNBC reports:
Putin again denied trying to influence the election, which top U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded he personally ordered. Tillerson called Moscow’s attempts to affect the election a “hindrance in the ability of us to move the U.S.-Russia relationship forward.”
Trump, however, wanted to talk about how the countries “go forward” rather than “spending a lot of time having a disagreement” over election interference, Tillerson added. “Everybody knows we have a disagreement,” he said.
Now, all eyes are on Donald Trump Jr., who had a meeting with a lawyer after being promises campaign dirt on Hillary Clinton’s crimes.
Anyone who has been involved in a campaign or run a campaign knows that opposition research is very necessary to win. But the media is exaggerating this revelation, which is really just a “nothing burger with Russian dressing.”
As Trump Jr. explained to Sean Hannity:
Donald Trump Jr. acknowledged in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ “Hannity” Tuesday night that he “probably would have done things a little differently” when he met with a Russian attorney during his father’s presidential campaign in June 2016.
“This [was] pre-Russia fever. This [was] pre-Russia mania,” Trump Jr. told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “I don’t think my sirens went [off] or my antenna went up at this time because it wasn’t the issue that it’s been made out to be over the last nine months, ten months.”
However, the president’s eldest son also described the meeting as “a nothing,” adding, “I wouldn’t have even remembered it until you started scouring through this stuff. It was literally just a wasted 20 minutes, which was a shame.”
The interview constituted the first public statement by Donald Trump Jr. since he posted what he called “the entire email chain” of his conversations with music publicist Rob Goldstone setting up the June 2016 meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya on Twitter.
If the worst possible lies from the liberal media were true, why would Trump Jr. need this meeting to “collude” with the Russians? If anything, that proves that the Trump campaign wasn’t already working with the Russian government, and Trump Jr. was simply doing whatever it took to win a presidential election.
The Russian lies have reached a hysterical level. But there is no proof of a connection between Trump and Russia, nor will one be found. This will continue to be a bad year for CNN.
