A privately-funded non-profit organization has broken ground on a roughly mile-long section of the border wall between the United States and Mexico.
We Build the Wall, Inc., seeded by a GoFundMe campaign established by triple-amputee veteran Brian Kolfage, built the segment securing a gap in existing fencing on private property at a cost of between $6 and $8 million.
They built the wall over the long Memorial Day weekend and plan to sell the section to the federal government for $1.
The group claims they were able to build it faster and cheaper using a portion of private donations which had surpassed $20 million in total.
Kris Kobach, former Kansas secretary of state and immigration adviser to President Trump, says the group has the go-ahead for their project from the White House.
Where Congress has failed the American people, the American people have risen to the occasion and decided that securing the border was in this nation’s best interest.
“We’re closing a gap that’s been a big headache for them [border security],” said Kobach.
“The wall starts at the Rio Grande River and goes up Mount Cristo Rey where the US Army Corps of Engineers said it was impossible to build,” Kolfage told the Daily Mail. “We wanted to show the American people how to get this job done.”
“We’re talking with DHS,” Kolfage explained discussing other segments. “We could build the entire wall from New Mexico to California with private donations.”
“They are doing an incredible job,” the property owner where the wall was built told CNN. “I have fought illegals on this property for six years. I love my country and this is a step in protecting my country.”
Earlier this month, a joint committee consisting of Donald J. Trump for President and the Republican National Committee (RNC) issued a petition demanding that Congress finally take action to build the wall.
It’s the people that are taking action instead.
The President also revealed an immigration system overhaul which included building the wall as a key component, adding a new proposal that “will also enable public donations for the wall.”

Thanks to Brian Kolfage and We Build the Wall, Inc.
How tall was this portion of the wall? None of the information has revealed this information. Thanks.
Along with their GoFundMe page, they are also selling commemorative coins to help. The coins are beautiful and say WE BUILD THE WALL on them!!! There are three different ones!!!
It's the Fisher Sand and Gravel guys that did the construction. Tommy Fisher knows what he is doing.
