President Trump Tells Proud Boys To Stand Down, Again

He couldn't be any clearer

Trump

Donald Trump is a busy man. He has the country to run, the Free World to lead, a pandemic to deal with, and Democrats to break on the wheel of electoral victory.

But, what are those same Democrats and the media obsessing about on Thursday? Whether he did or did not notice an obscure rightist protest group.

The kerfuffle is interesting, as the president has been called upon by friend and foe alike to denounce the Proud Boys. Okay fine. But Joe Biden is not being called upon, except by some conservatives and the president, to denounce racist terrorist murderers Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

Proud Boys Are A Rightwing Group

The Proud Boys are a rightist group that generally shows up at left wing protests and makes an effort to look menacing. A bit of Kabuki there. If attacked, like any normal people, they will defend themselves. But they do not start fires, vandalize buildings, loot stores, or murder children.

That is left to the apparently blameless Antifa and Black Lives Matter. But Trump, not Biden, is guilty by association. Uh huh, right.

Fox News takes it from here, “President Trump on Wednesday tried to clear up confusion after telling the right-wing men’s group the Proud Boys to ‘stand back and stand by,’ during the first presidential debate, saying he didn’t know who the group was but they should let law enforcement do their job.

‘I don’t know who the Proud Boys are. I mean, you’ll have to give me a definition because I really don’t know who they are,’ Trump told reporters at the White House. ‘I can only say they have to stand down and let law enforcement do their work.'”

Get that? Stand down. Boom. Done. Has Joe Biden said the same to Antifa?

This Started During The Debate

The whole thing started when Trump was asked by Democrat shill Chris Wallace at the debate Tuesday if he was willing to condemn white supremacy.

The president said, “Sure, I’m willing to do that. But I would say almost everything I see is from the left-wing, not the right-wing. I am willing to do anything. I want to see peace.”

Bingo. Exactly right. One hundred percent spot on. So, naturally, Democrats and the media will have none of it.

Joe Biden then asked Trump specifically to condemn the Proud Boys, to which the president said, “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by” – a comment that sparked outrage on social media. Granted, a tad clumsy. But he didn’t exactly start whistling the Panzerlied.

Proud Boys leader Enrique Torrio, he of the not real Aryan-sounding name, said he didn’t see the president’s words as “an endorsement.” However he said,  it was a “great moment” to be mentioned by the president.

Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh also said the president has denounced white supremacy “over and over and over again…Just last week, the president declared the KKK a terrorist organization and it cannot be any more clear than that.”

But clarity is not what Joe Biden and the Democrats are looking for, now is it?
