On Sunday, President Donald Trump surprised supporters by driving slowly by the crowd gathered to support him in an SUV during his treatment for COVID-19 at Walter Reed hospital.

Trump wore a mask inside the Secret Service SUV, as he waved at his supporters while they cheered and waved back at him.

White House staffers posted a video of Trump on Twitter prior to his visit previewing a “special surprise.”

President Trump said in the video, “I learned a lot about COVID,” adding that “I learned it by really going to school, this is the real school, this isn’t the ‘Let’s read the book school’ and I get it, and I understand it.”

The left has been having a field day since it was announced that President Trump and members of his family and team contracted the coronavirus last week. While many Democrat leaders wished him well, many rank and file liberal Democrats have expressed negative and even hateful attitudes–which has been par for the course during his entire first term.

Don’t expect the hardcore Trump haters to be any less hateful between now and November.

Still, the many fans of the President who showed up outside Walter Reed hospital to express their support shows that significant segments of the population aren’t as cynical about politics, and more particularly, Trump catching COVID-19.
